'Doctor fish' eat the dead skin off ofpsoriasis patient as part of his treatment on in Kangal, 105 kilometers south of the central Turkish city of Sivas. The fish, known also as gara ruffa obtusa, found in naturally occurring mineral-rich springs are used as treatment for patients with psoriasis and skin ailments, eating away at diseased skin. Patients suffering from psoriasis travel from all over the world to Kangal to bathe in the pools for treatment.
