Located on the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland, not far from the Giants Causeway, are the ruins of Dunluce Castle. It is one of the most iconic monuments in Northern Ireland. It precariously perched on the craggy and treacherous Antrim coast and it provides a very important chapter in the history of the McDonnells of Antrim and North East Ulster. Presently, Dunluce Castle still belongs to the McDonnell family, however, it is currently managed under a deed of guardianship by the Northern Irish Environment Agency.
