An envelope and folded letter sent from Petawawa Camp, in Ontario, Canada during World War Two. The Camp, an army base, was founded in 1905 and during WW2 was used as a training base for artillery and engineering. In September 1942, there were over 12,500 troops stationed there. It was also used as an internment camp. The stamp carried the likeness of King George VI.
