Northern Territory, Australia - May 18, 2011: The sun shines down on eucalypt trees (also known as gumtrees) growing close to the great monolith Uluru. Sometimes called Ayers Rock, this UNESCO World Heritage site sits at the heart of the Australian Outback.

Eucalypt trees growing on the great open plains near Uluru. This great mass of sandstone is a sacred site to the local Anangu people, and is something of a Mecca for travellers & photographers alike.
