Description

Close up of Feldherrnhalle, constructed from 1841-1844, at Odeonsplatz in Munich, Germany. The lion sculptures were added in 1906 and were created by Wilhelm von Rümann (1850-1906). The statues of Johann Tserclaes, Count of Tilly (1559-1632) and Karl Philipp von Wrede (1767-1838) near the lions were created by Ludwig von Schwanthaler (1802-1848). The sculpture in the rear, located at the center of Feldherrnhalle, was sculpted by Ferdinand von Miller the Younger (1842-1929) in 1899.
