Cape Coast, Ghana - October 30, 2008: Fishermen live in simple buildings close to the beach. There they repair their fishing nets and sell their fish.

Description

Cape Coast is the location of the historic Cape Coast Castle, which is one of a number of slave castles in Ghana. In history it played a significant role in the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. There was the well known "gate of no return". After passing this door the African slaves left their continent an never came back. Today the Castle is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
