Full Moon shot when it was visible in the dusk sky during September. I used a 400mm lens, which is about 600mm on my Canon 30D, and this is as close as I could get! By shooting early I was able to use a fast shutter speed to capture a sharp image of the Moon as the Earth rotated. The Moon itself shows great detail including rough terrain around the edges and large meteor impacts on the surface. I left plenty of dark sky around the Moon so you could crop and use the space as you need. Canon 30D, 70-200mm lens, 2X teleconverter, monopod.
