'To 8. May 1897 was solemnly opened the church. The pair of emperors empress Auguste Viktoria and the emperors Wilhelm II. was present. The church served as garrison church for the troops, which were stationed before the gates Berlin /Deutschland. The costs of the building established in the ultramodern again-gothical style amounted to proud 750,000 RM (realm Marks). That is, surface and/or about 468 RM for each seat cultivated about 466 RM per square meter. For the building (outside) Schlesischer sandstone, alto Warthauer sandstone was used. For the inside paneling Gothaer sandstone.'
