Description

This post box in the wall of Lechlade Post Office is sealed, and is now of only historic interest. The letters 'G R' indicate 'George Rex', King George, and lead me to think the box was installed in the 1940s in the reign of King George VI. The crown is actually the emblem of our present Queen, Elizabeth II. Lechlade, Gloucestershire, UK.
