Inle Lake, Myanmar - February 23, 2011: A young boy gets into his boat with a metal lunch box in his hand an an oar tucked under his arm. Above him is his house built on stilts on the lake. Inle lake is a freshwater lake located in the Shan Hills and is the second largest lake in Myanmar. It houses 20 species of snails and 9 species of fish, found nowhere else in the world.Around 70000 people live on Inle lake in numerous floating villages built along the shallow parts of the lake. The houses are built on stilts and are made of wood and woven bamboo.
