Verona, Italy - May 9, 2011: bronze statue of Juliet, located in the small courtyard of the Juliet's house. The work of art was created by Veronese sculptor Nereo Costantini (1905-1969).
William Shakespeare chose Verona to set the sad love story between Romeo and Juliet, thus transforming the city into an everlasting myth. Lovers from all over the world come below the Juliet's balcony and write their love on the wall of the house; all touch the Juliet's statue, because the legend says that if a person strokes her breast, that person will have good fortune.
