Description

'THe city Hall building in Kingston, Ontario was built between 1843 and 1844 at a cost of 20,000 pounds sterling. It sits in the centre of Kingston's downtown, backing on the historic Market Square, and facing the Confederation park and marina. The fountain in the park represents the unity between Canada's 10 provinces and 3 territories: it was built in 1967, Canada's centennial year as a nation.'
