Jerome, Arizona, USA - October 10, 2013: This vaudeville chimpanzee antique is one of many nostalgic film industry icons that greet tourists at the historic landmark Liberty Theatre at number 110 on Jerome Street in Jerome, Arizona. The theatre opened in 1918 and presented silent films and vaudeville acts for a 20 cent fee until it closed in1929. Several iterations later, it has returned to a fully functioning theatre, as well as offering tourists an array of photos, statuary and memorabilia from the early Hollywood film star set. In addition to this vaudeville chimpanzee, Betty Boop is prominent, as is Elvis Presley, Bogart and many others. Antiques abound, including early cinema film cameras, props and set paraphernalia.
