Jiangxi, China - October 14, 2009: A colour photograph of Haka/ Kejia Hutong, the picture is taken at the centre of the small street and shows residents engaged in various activities. At the very centre of the picture is a woman walking with her back to the photographer, to the left is a woman seating down pealing or washing something, to the right there's a group of men gambling and directly above them some clothes are drying on the washing line. The alley way/Hutong is located in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province China and leads to one of the oldest roads in Ganzhou, known as Zaoer Alley an international cultural heritage belonging to the Haka/ Kejia people. The Hakka people are a group of Han Chinese who originated from the North and fled conflicts and persecution they spoke the Hakka language and have historical links with Guangdong, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Sichuan, Hunan and Fujian in China.
