In the centre of MAnster, the Prinzipalmarkt (a medieval market street aa principle market) with its historic buildings is nowadays home to luxurious shops and cafAs. The Prinzipalmarkt was completely reconstructed from 1947 to 1958 because the buildings were largely destroyed during World War II. In the city hall on the right 1648 the Treaty of Westphalia was signed. This marks the end of Thirty Years' War in Europe. In the middle, the St Lambert's Church (Lambertikirche) of 1375. The deserted streets seen from the west. Photo taken in the afternoon with tilt and shift lenses and a grey filter to achieve a long exposure in daylight.'
