Bronze - Alloy, Human Hand, Adult, Adults Only, Bridge - Built Structure
Prague, Czech Republic - October 22, 2012: A tradition on the Charles Bridge, Praha, Prague. A woman tourist rubs the bronze plaque that honours the patron Saint of Prague John of Nepomuk. The tradition says you must place each finger on the bronze stars and make a wish, then toss a petition into the water. St John was martyred in 1393 and this plaque marks the very spot where he was thrown into the River Vltava.
