Description

Making a batch of raspberry cordial. Fresh raspberries in a mason jar, with completed jars in the background.

Recipe:
2 cups raspberries
1-2 cups sugar
cheap vodka to fill a quart jar

Fill a quart jar half full of fresh ripe (overripe if you can) raspberries. Add 1 cup of sugar, pour in vodka to fill the jar mostly full (leave some room for mixing). Seal, shake to dissolve sugar and store in a cool place for 3 months, stirring or shaking weekly. Taste after the first couple weeks and add more sugar if desired.
