Description

Mow Cop castle or folly, on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border, viewed as the setting summer sun casts warm evening light onto the stonework. The castle in noteworthy as the birthplace of the Primitive Methodist movement in the 1800s. It was built as a summerhouse in 1754.
