Description

Nasi Lemak or 'creamy rice' is a Malaysian national dish. It contains rice cooked with coconut cream and pandan (screwpine) leaves, fried anchovies, fried peanuts, fried chicken, sambal (chili-based sauce that contains shrimp paste), boiled eggs and slices of cucumbers. Because of its versatility in being able to be served in a variety of manners, it is now served and eaten any time of the day. The dish is also popular in Singapore and Indonesia.
