Description
Natural Organic Free Range Chicken Butchering on Small Farm. Humane process of cutting the jugular vein, as done on this farm where free range chickens are raised organically. The bird is placed in the metal tube, the jugular vein is cut and blood is drained. The deceased bird is then dipped in a soapy hot water solution, and placed in a defeathering device. The rotating device defeathers the bird by spinning it around. Any chickens shown in this photo series were butchered humanely as part of this farms regular daily food preparations for local farmers market sales to consumers.
