The Orange-tip is a common resident in the Netherlands. It is mostly find either Cardamine pratensis in damp grasslands, or on Alliaria petiolata in light shaded woodland edges.
It flies in one generation from mid-April until the end of May and hibernates as a pupa.
The Species were a long time scarce in the centre of the Netherlands, but they like to be extended the late few years.

This beautiful Butterfly flies for a short time in Spring on wet places (de Bruuk, the Netherlands), where the foot plant (Cardamine pratensis) grows.
