Description

Classic animal depiction rock petroglyphs etched by Sinagua Native American Indians - dating to approximately 1200AD. Presumably an elk or deer and perhaps a wild cat, with other symbolic etchings. The storytelling glyphs appear on Schnebly Formation Sandstone rock face in Rarick Canyon, which was along an important travel route for the ancient Sinagua peoples traveling from above the Mogollon Rim. These early Native Americans inhabited the northern Arizona region between 500AD and 1400AD. Yavapai County, Arizona, 2013.
