Description
Well preserved rock petroglyph etched by a Sinagua Native American Indian - dating to approximately 1200AD. Presumably an indigenous animal sighted - perhaps a bobcat, mountain lion, fox, or rodent.. The storytelling glyphs appear on Schnebly Formation Sandstone rock face in Rarick Canyon, which was along an important travel route for the ancient Sinagua peoples traveling from above the Mogollon Rim. These early Native Americans inhabited the northern Arizona region between 500AD and 1400AD. Yavapai County, Arizona, 2013.
