Description
A rock petroglyph etched by Sinagua Native American Indians - dating to approximately 1200AD. Possibly a bat in flight, though an unlikely subject, and would be unusual. The artwork typically involved ground animals and people. The storytelling glyph appears on Schnebly Formation Sandstone rock face in the Beaver Creek Draw, which was along an important travel route for the ancient Sinagua peoples traveling from above the Mogollon Rim. These early Native Americans inhabited the northern Arizona region between 500AD and 1400AD. Yavapai County, Arizona, 2013.
