Udaipur, India - January 7, 2011: Poor people are receiving a free meal at the local Shree Jagdish Hindu temple in Udaipur, India. A man is distributing lentils and rice cooked together on metal plates. The homeless people are waiting for food sitting in a row. In India, poor people such as these elderly people do not have access to social security. They have to rely on their local community. Local temples collect donations to feed the starving people who are living in the streets. Some temples such as this also provides free medical service to those in need.
