Description
Medical imaging of various stages of embryo and fetal development during pregnancy. Progression includes:
5 weeks, 7 weeks, 10 weeks, 11 weeks, 12 weeks, 18 weeks, 20 weeks, 27 weeks, 32 weeks. Encompassing first, second and third trimesters.

Visualization aids in determining date of conception, estimating date of delivery, monitoring fetal movements and greatly assists in detecting and diagnosing malformations.

First trimester scans (weeks 1-13) depict confirmation and viability of pregnancy. Measurements are obtained for dating and soft markers are assessed for genetic abnormalities.

Second trimester scans (weeks 14-26) survey anatomical development and looks for congenital malformations.

Third trimester scans (weeks 27-40) are used to evaluate fetal size and growth or to follow up on possible abnormalities noted in previous scans.
