Prague, Czech Republic - August 28, 2008: to officially commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia, facsilime protest cartoons and posters were pasted on the walls outside the National Museum in Wenceslas Square. In 1968 courageous artists posted protests on the city walls each night and the Russians tore them down and burned them the following day. The photographer Franz Goess recorded events on film and his photographs, which were part of the same exhibition, were used to create the protest messages.
