Istanbul, Turkey - June 22, 2013: People came Taksim Square with red carnations to commemoration for dead during protests in Turkey. Protests are started for tree cutting in Taksim Gezi Park than developing into wider anti-government demonstrations.
Protest started 28 May 2013 and spread to other cities in Turkey. Demonstrations did not take place in Turkish media because of goverment censorship in first days. One of the most important protest reason is restrictions on freedom of speech. Police intervened to Taksim Square on 11 June 2013 and Gezi Park evacuated by using disproportionate force on 15 June 2013.
