The Queen Mary made its maiden voyage in 1936 and after service as a liner and troopship, made its final voyage to Long Beach in 1967, its Atlantic trade killed off by the advent of air travel. Since then it has served as a hotel and event venue. The Scorpion was commissioned in 1971, operated with the Russian Pacific Fleet and then decommissioned in 1994. Since 1998 it had been a floating museum at Long Beach. Unidentified person.
