Wearing full dress uniform of a red tunic and bearskin hat and armed with a Heckler and Koch assualt rifle with fixed bayonet. The Queen's Guard are responsible for guarding Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace and carry out ceremonial duties on state and royal occasions, they also take part in the Changing of the Guard ceremony, a popular tourist attraction.
