Manali (alt. 1,950 m or 6,398 ft)is situated in the Beas River valley, in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is about 250 kilometres (155 mi) north of Shimla
and is connected by road to Delhi and to Leh( world's highest motorable road).
