A commercial brushcutter is mowing through a section of wild parsnip along a roadside. Wild parsnip is an invasive plant which is aggressive and spreads rapidly. The parsnip juice combined with UV light causes burned skin (phyto-photo-dermatitis). Mowing the roadway, prevents bikers, pedestrians and others from coming in contact with the plant. The textured areas on the pavement are rumble strips to alert drvers whent they have crossed the white line.
