The ancient Temple of Trajan at Pergamos (Bergama), a major city in the province of Asia in the Roman Empire (modern western Turkey). The temple, also known as the Trajaneum, was dedicated to the emperors Trajan and Hadrian. Pergamos was one of the seven churches mentioned in Revelation.
