Description
Scuba diver swimming through a hole in the hull of the Iro, a Japanese Navy fleet oiler that was created by an American torpedo. This 462 foot (140m) was sunk on March 31, 1944 after being torpedoed by a US submarine during Operation DESCECRATE ONE on its journey from the Philippines to Palau. The vessel rests in the waters off the islands of Palau in Micronesia.
