Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States Oct 9, 2012 - These two unknown people are returning from their hike up Tent Rocks Monument and are just reaching the opening to Slot Canyon through which people must pass both coming and going to Tent Rocks monument. Tent Rocks is just a short drive from Albuquerque, New Mexico. This photo was taken on April 9, 2012 just as I had exited Slot Canyon on my way up Tent Rocks Monument which is a popular travel destination. Once you have finished the somewhat strenuous hike up to the top, you will be rewarded with breath-taking views in every direction.
In order to climb Tent Rocks Monument, you must first fit through Slot Canyon with its rocks, branches, crevices, sticks, and various levels of terrain. The edges of the canyon are rough and multi-layered due to erosion.
