Authentic Soviet Army Air Force Wings. The breastplate “Military pilot 2nd class”. The sign was made of metal with a special coating and colored enamel. it is a wreath of oak leaves with two crossed swords on it. On the swords you can see wings and shield, on which is located a red star. There’s number “2” on the shield, indicating a pilot proficiency level.

The breastplate was worn on the right side of the chest on the uniform jacket in the middle of the distance from the waist to the collar. The right to wear the sign had officers, who successfully had completed the theoretical and practical training for combat operations in the air during all the day in difficult weather conditions and at night in normal weather conditions
