Statue of Carl Friedrich Gauss (seated) and Wilhelm Weber, in the German city of Gottingen. Gauss would be a strong candidate for the greatest mathematician of all time. Weber was a physicist whose main field of study was magnetism. The statue was created in 1899 by Carl Hartzer (died 1906) and is located in the Burgerstrasse.
