Description
Much of the landscape within Manassas National Battlefield park still retains it wartime character. The first battle of Manassas was in July 1861. The second one was in august 1862. The confederates or the south fighting against the Union or North. The National park service maintains the park nowadays. The battles of Manassas were also called the first and second Bull run. This bridge was used by the Union to retreat and remains one of the battlefields most famous landmarks.
