Cochem, Germany - July 22, 2012: Cochem is the county seat and the largest town in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Cochem-Zell. With nearly 5000 people to Kusel Cochem is the second smallest county seat in Germany. Cochem Castle was in 1130, was first mentioned in documents, and since 1978 has been owned by the town of Cochem, it is now under the administration of the imperial castle GmbH Cochem is located on the Moselle, which is the largest German tributary of the Rhine, flowing through France , Luxembourg, and the states of Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate.
