Spanning the canyon of River Tara at the point where the roads from Mojkovac to Pljevlja adn Žabljak converge, is the verriginous Tara Bridge - Djurdjevića Tara.

This is one of the single most impressive feats of engineering to be found anywhere in Europe. The Bridge was constructed between 1937 and 1940. On completion it was easily the largest vehicular arch bridge in Europe.

The dimensions of the bridge are impressive to - span over the canyon is 365m, and the largest of the five arches spans for 116m with the height over the riverbed of 160meters.

The history of the bridge has somewhat unfortunate twist of the fate: One of the bridge engineers joined Pratizan forces in 1942 and was given the rather disagreeable task of dynamiting the bridge. And just to compound this bad luck, the poor fellow was captured few months later and executed here.
