Description

This is an antique print from the series The Cathedrall and Conventuall Churches of England and Wales Orthographically delineated.

Rochester Cathedral is a famous landmark of Kent in the South of England. Rochester is famous for its Charles Dickens connection, for he drew inspiration from this City, the Little Dorrit is a serial novel, for the family are buried in the graveyard.

Daniel King (d. 1664), son of an baker of Chester, came to London about 1655. King seems to have made an unfortunate marriage, and after his wife had robbed and left him, he died heartbroken near York House, in the Strand, London about 1664.
