Thriges Power Plant was built in 1916 by Thomas B. Thrige. Thriges Force Central is a well preserved industrial building of national importance. The power plant was the heart of Thriges large factory complex. A large diesel engine and two steam turbines supplied electricity and heat for the entire factory - and the power to Skibhus neighborhood.
The old powerplant that has been shot down many years ago, enthusiastic people have renovated the old power station which again able to start up as a window to the old days.
