Amsterdam, the Netherlands - July 22, 2013: A collection of Dutch newspapers with publications of the winner 2013 Tour de France, the British rider Chris Froome of Team Sky. Chris Froome, born in Kenia in 1985, is an British professional road racing cyclist. This Tour de France was the 100th Tour de France. It started in Corsica on 29 June 2013 and finished in Paris on 21 July 2013. The tour was the first to be completed only on French soil since 2003. The race covered a total of 3,403 kilometres (2,115 miles). Froome pulled on the yellow jersey for the first time after the eighth stage and from then on was never really challenged, he also won three stages. Froome dedicated his win to Africa where his roots are. The second place was for the Colombian Nairo Quintana and the third place for the Spaniard Joaquim Rodriguez. Bradley Wiggins won the 2012 title but he was unfit to race and his team-mate Froome has lead the Team Sky of 2013.
