Description
Tow path approaching a red brick bridge on the frozen Wilts & Berks canal, with winter sunlight picking out the dry grass on the banks. Plenty of dark space for copy.

The Wilts & Berks canal has its mid-point here at Swindon in Wiltshire. It links the River Thames at Abingdon (Oxon) with the Kennet & Avon Canal near Melksham (Wilts). Today (2010), the waterway is located in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire only (not Berkshire), following Local Government boundary changes in the 1970s.
