Alberobello, Italy - August 20, 2009: Trullo Sovrano (Sovereign Trullo), built in 1700, is the only trulli house with two floors in in Alberobello, Apulia, Italy. In the past it hosted the relics of Saints Cosma and Damiano. Alberobello was founded in the 15th century on land that was originally an oak forest in the province of Bari. A typical feature of Alberobello are the trulli houses made of white dry-stone with conical roofs made of lapidary stones.
