Description
The Uffington White Horse is a highly stylised prehistoric hill figure, 110 m long (374 feet), formed from deep trenches filled with crushed white chalk. The figure is situated on the upper slopes of White Horse Hill in Oxfordshire, part of the scarp of the Berkshire Downs and the figure has been shown to date back some 3000 years to the Bronze Age. Image taken on a windy summers day from the top of the monument looking out towards the Vale of the White Horse. ProPhoto RGB profile for maximum color fidelity and gamut.
