Description

An old building once used as bordello and labeled 'Palace Manor' or the 'Palace of Joy,' shows its age, but still looks remarkably good, with heavy wooden doors and windows, and wonderful architectural details. In 1886 Elizabeth Spurgen, the madam known as 'Cockeyed Liz,' ran her house of ill repute from this location on Main Street in Buena Vista, Colorado. There are even a couple of 'cribs' her prostitutes used still standing out back. I'm sure the ghosts of this building could tell some interesting stories! There is plenty of copy space available for your own comments on the past.
