Vladimir Lenin statue before a Government building in Mogilev, Belarus, Eastern Europe.

Before the 1939 Minsk, the capital of the former Belarussian Soviet Socialistic Republic (now Republic of Belarus) was placed so close to the Government Border with a Poland. In 1937 Soviet Government had the plans to move a capital into Mogilev, other big belarussian city.
According this plan, famous soviet architect Langbard, author of the Government House in Minsk, adapted his own project and built in Mogilev the new Government House, the copy of the Minsk's Government House.
