'Variable, short to medium, hairy, stoloniferous perennial, generally patch-forming, strong-smelling; stems erect, unbranched. Leaves feathery, lanceolate, finely 2-pinnately-lobed, with small narrow segments. Flower heads small, white, occasionally pink or reddish, with a white or cream disk, 4-6mm, borne in dense flat-topped heads; rays short.Habitat: Grassy places, pastures, meadows, grassy heaths, road verges, hedge banks, lawns and waste places, on calcareous or slightly acid soils.Flowering Season: July-October.Distribution: Throughout Europe, except Spitsbergen.Yarrow is known as Herbal Medicine.Related images:'
