The Dome des Invalides, part of the group of buildings previously called the ‘Hôtel National des Invalides’ and now known as ‘Les Invalides’, a group of buildings once used to house old or sick French soldiers. Bridge Alexander III was built to commemorate the military-political alliance between Russia and France in 1896 by Emperor Nicholas II and named in honor of his father Alexander III. Opening of the bridge took place in 1900 on the eve of the World Expo.
